These 2 pictures are great examples of the vastness of North Dakota. The photos were taken at the same spot...On top of a hill...One facing east and one facing west. There were several times in ND and Montana when I stopped peddling and attempted to hear something, anything that resembled civilization. Often times I failed....I heard only 2 sounds...The wind blowing and my lungs gasping for air.
