Ione, Washington

A short entry as the Ione public library allows 15 minutes of computer use for non-locals.

Peddled a little over 105 miles today. It was another scenic day while traveling along the Pend Oreille River. The roads were flat to gently rolling hills with little to no wind. Tomorrow the climbs begin. My goal is to be complete with the 5575 ft Sherman Pass by noon. Depending on how I feel I may tackle Wauconda Pass which is a mere 4310 ft.

It's go time. Today Liz purchased a plane ticket home for me leaving Seattle next Thursday afternoon. I have an estimated 378 miles to go...all up and down. Think positive thoughts...it's going to be a tough 6 days. Jamie

Steve already relayed how proud we are of you, let me just add... Hey, you're pretty far ahead of schedule buddy - why not just turn around and start pedaling back? (ha,ha). Here's hoping the last few miles are mostly down-hill. See you soon!
