Mountain Goats

Photo taken late summer 2007. The mountain goats were seen while hiking on Hidden Lake Trail in Glacier National Park. When hiking on this trail you are almost certain to see a few mountain goats. Four years ago while on the same trail my brother-in-law, wife, and myself saw well over 30 goats. One of the goats ran us off the trail.

Big Boat

We recently took a Caribbean cruise. Our home for 7 days was the Carnival Legend. The top photos were taken while ported in Cozumel. The bottom photo was taken off the coast of Belize. Because of shallow water the ship was unable to dock inland. Several small boats "tendered" passengers to and from the mainland.

Click here for details on the Carnival Legend. It's an impressive boat!

Glacier Drumlin Bike Trail

Named for the glacier-formed elongate hills viewable from the 47-mile winding trail which runs from Waukesha to Cottage Grove. Following the path of the old Chicago and Northwestern Railway that operated in the 1880s, it goes through the neighboring communities of London, Jefferson, and Deerfield. It offers an enjoyable route for hikers, bikers, and snowmobilers traveling the countryside and farm lands of southern Wisconsin.

The Glacier Drumlin Trail is an easy ride. The flat limestone surface is ideal for short or longer rides. The above pictures were taken the first weekend in October when temperatures reached 90 degrees. The third picture is the trail-head in Lake Mills. There you can park your vehicle and purchase a trail pass.
