PARALLEL PARKING

Regardless of the conditions, parallel parking bicycles is always easier than parallel parking cars or trucks.

Hidden Lake Trail ~ Glacier National Park

Scenes from The Hidden Lake Trail in Glacier National Park. I've explored GNP countless times. I've never seen more wild flowers in the park as I did this past September.

Antelope Island State Park ~ Utah

Antelope Island State Park has one of the largest free roaming herds of American bison in North America. The herd consists of over 700 bison.

The Great Salt Lake average depth is only 7 feet deep. Walking on the salt flats reminded me of "low tide".

Ducks!...Hundreds of thousands of ducks! A park ranger told me that at any one time there are over 300,000(!) ducks feeding on brine shrimp and brine flys around the island. I've never seen so many ducks in my life. No fish live in The Great Salt Lake.

Antelope Island State Park is located in The Great Salt Lake of Utah. The park consists of 28,800 acres of rocky dry land. It's highest elevation is 5308 feet and the park was dedicated in 1969.

Bicycling, not baking. Shifting, not sifting.

Everyday is a gold medal day for bicycling.

ZION NATIONAL PARK 2010

Zion National Park is quickly becoming my favorite. More people visited Zion this year than Yosemite National Park...Why? Zion is like Yosemite, but with color!

ROCK CREEK 2010

~brown trout~

~cutthroat trout~

~fly fishing on Rock Creek~

I believe these are the same big horn sheep from 2009. Although they are a little larger, they have the same curious nature as they did last year. See my post "Infant Bighorn Sheep" from 2/2/2010.
This was the first time I fished this run...I will return as I caught 20-30 fish in just over an hour.
